The Schlemmin castle wall is a Slavic castle wall in the municipality of Bernitt in the Rostock district . The ground monument is a good two kilometers southwest of the village on the highest point of the Long Mountain, which was named Hohe Burg from the castle wall . According to the type of fortification , it is an Old Slavic refuge from the 7th to 9th centuries. Only during this time did the Slavs build castles on ridges. In the Schlemminer Forest there are also several barrows and a so-called sacrificial stone .
