The Burn Cliffs are two 455 m high cliffs on the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . They rise up at the head of Haydn Inlet west of Mount Ethelwulf in the Douglas Range .
The cliffs were using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1966 and Landsat charted recordings in January 1947th The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1977 after the geologist Richard William Burn (* 1954) of the British Antarctic Survey , who was involved in the campaigns from 1975 to 1976 and from 1976 to 1977 on the Adelaide and northern Alexander I. Island was active.
