Burnett is a civil parish in Pierce County , Washington state . It is located just south of Buckley on Washington State Route 165 between Buckley and Mount Rainier National Park .
A post office was founded in 1888 under the name Burnett and operated until 1927. The parish was named after Charles Hiram Burnett, Sr. , a coal-mining businessman.
