Various aluminum slugs

A slug (English slug ) is primarily of aluminum produced and the base material for the packaging industry, they tubes , spray cans , tubes, bottles and the like processed. As technical extrusion parts, slugs for components for filters, fuel pump housings, pressure vessels, ABS systems, etc. are used. As with the extruded profiles , the possible uses of this semi-finished product are extremely diverse.

Most slugs are punched in pure aluminum (99.5 to 99.7%) or sawn from bars. For extrusion parts, aluminum alloys with silicon and magnesium are sometimes used.
