Buzz Calkins

Bradley "Buzz" Calkins (born May 2, 1971 in Denver , Colorado ) is a former American racing driver .

Career

After three successful years in the Indy Lights series from 1993 to 1995, in which he was 11th, 10th and 6th of the championship, he and his team, Bradley Motorsports , bought a Reynard chassis to move into the newly founded Compete in the Indy Racing League . He won the inaugural race of the new series, the Indy 200, at Walt Disney Speedway in Orlando in 1996 and was also a champion that year with Scott Sharp . The victory in the opening race should remain his only IRL victory. He started six times at the Indianapolis 500 , in which he achieved his best result in 1998 with 10th place. He ended his sports career in 2001.
