Bye Bye Love is a song written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant that was recorded by The Everly Brothers in 1957 and released on Cadence Records under catalog number 1315.

The song reached number two on the Billboard Top 100 charts and number one on the cash box and country charts in the United States . In the UK charts, the song came in at number six. The readers of the music magazine Rolling Stone voted the song 210th of the 500 best songs of all time . The song was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame .

The song was often covered, at the same time as the Everly Brothers, the country singer Webb Pierce was in the charts in 1957 and came in at number 73 of the Top 100. Other versions without chart success were among others in 1961 by Ray Charles , 1969 by Simon & Garfunkel and 1974 by George Harrison . The version published by Harrison is, however, musically and lyrically changed from the original and refers to Harrison's separation from Pattie Boyd , who had a relationship with his friend Eric Clapton .
