Byzantine cross
Byzantine cross is the name of a Latin cross with ends that widen outwards. It was the most common cross shape in the Byzantine Empire .
Other cross shapes (patriarchal cross, Russian-Orthodox cross, etc.) are sometimes misleadingly referred to as "Byzantine cross" if they are from the Byzantine culture.
