Céleste Brunnquell (* 2001 or 2002 in Paris ) is a French film actress .

Life

At the age of eleven, Brunnquell took on his first theater roles, supported by her French teacher Marie Joliot and the actor Jacinthe Cappello of the acting group around Jean-Michel Rabeux. She later attended courses at the Théâtre de l'Atelier de Paris, where she played under the direction of Candice Pailleux , among others . Here she was discovered by casting director Elsa Pharaon . Director Sarah Suco cast Brunnquell for the lead role in the autobiographical feature film Les éblouis , which was shot in autumn 2018. At the time, Brunnquell was 15 years old. At the side of Camille Cottin and Éric Caravaca, she played twelve-year-old Camille Lourmel, the eldest daughter of an extended family who began to fight against the influence of a sect on her family. For her portrayal, Brunnquell was nominated for a Prix ​​Lumières and a César in 2020 , each for the best young actress.

Brunnquell is a student at a Parisian Lycée and will graduate with a Baccalauréat L (littéraire) in 2020 . In 2020 she was in preliminary exams for admission to the Cours Florent in Paris.
