César Mercado (diplomat)
César Antonio Mercado Pavón (* 1975 or 1976 in Masatepe ; † September 23, 2010 in New York ) was a Nicaraguan diplomat .
Mercado was the de facto Consul General of Nicaragua at the United Nations at the headquarters in Manhattan.
On September 23, 2010, he was found dead with his throat cut in his New York apartment in the Bronx neighborhood. He was 34 years old.
