Cîroc

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cîroc is a British premium vodka brand that is produced in France . The owners are the beverage company Diageo and, since spring 2007, the American rapper Sean Combs .

Manufacturing

In contrast to most other types of vodka, which are made from grain or potatoes , Cîroc is made exclusively from grapes . It is distilled from the grape varieties Mauzac Blanc ( Galliac region ) and Ugni Blanc ( Cognac region ). The juice of the grapes is cold fermented .

Cîroc points out that their product is five times distilled. The first four distillations of the Ugni Blanc grape take place in stainless steel vessels. The Mauzac grape is distilled in traditional copper vessels. They are distilled up to 96.5% and 93.5% and then blended to 95% of the Ugni Blanc grape and 5% of the Mauzac Blanc grape. The fifth distillation follows in a traditional Armagnac copper still.
