C-MOR
C-MOR is a video surveillance system. The name is derived from the English "see more". C-MOR comes from the company za-internet GmbH in Hechingen . C-MOR is available as a hardware server (appliance) and as a virtual server version for installation in a virtual environment.
history
The server series of video surveillance C-MOR came onto the market in 2003 with the first model C-MOR3. The system arose from the growing demand for the integration of videos in websites. At that time, this was only possible if the users installed additional software for the web browser to play the videos. With C-MOR it was possible to play the videos in the web browser without any additional software. Since 2009 there have also been virtual servers from C-MOR for various virtualization platforms.
particularities
No software installation is required on the client side to use C-MOR. C-MOR can be used on different platforms. To display live views and play back video recordings, you only need an Internet browser on the device used. This also gives users the option of using cameras on mobile devices that otherwise only work with Windows.
Software versions
C-MOR is available in two different software versions, a free version and a full version. The free version has the limitation that it only records data from one camera. The second version requires a license and records three IP cameras in the smallest version. This version can be licensed for up to 15 cameras. In addition, up to six C-MOR installations can be combined into one unit by so-called stacking (interconnecting).
C-MOR V5.00 is the latest major version of the video surveillance software C-MOR. This enables storage capacities of over 2TB, the e-mail notification now has attachments in MP4 format, the licensing procedure for additional cameras has been simplified and much more. The new version also brings new setting options and now also supports RTSP , MPEG4 and H.264 cameras.
Models
C-MOR is available as desktops, 19-inch servers and virtual servers. The desktops are equipped with a hard disk, the 19-inch servers with several hard disks in a RAID network. An energy-saving model that works without a fan and with only 28 watts of power consumption can also be found in the model range.

technology
C-MOR uses Linux with the web server Apache as the operating system. C-MOR is programmed in C, PHP and Perl by Michael Reuschling and Sergej Gehl. C-MOR supports cameras from many well-known manufacturers such as Axis, Bosch, Vivotek, Panasonic, Sony etc.
application areas
C-MOR is used in the areas of buildings and theft protection. Many horse owners also use C-MOR for remote monitoring. But also construction projects such as ARGE Osterberg tunnel construction were monitored and documented with C-MOR. The time-lapse function enables the creation of long-term documentation of new buildings and house demolitions. C-MOR can be linked to alarm systems.
