The CG Jung Institute Zurich in Küsnacht was founded in 1948 by the psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung , the founder of analytical psychology . Marie-Louise von Franz and Jolande Jacobi were also involved in the establishment and early work of the institute . The institute was located in Zurich until 1993 .

The institute was founded to conduct training and research in analytical psychology and psychotherapy . CG Jung ran the institute until 1961, the year of his death. The institute's library contains around 15,000 books and journals on the subject of Jungian psychology.

Several other organizations called the CG Jung Institute exist around the world, such as the CG Jung Institute in Los Angeles .
