CCTV-5

CCTV-5 ( Chinese  中国 中央 电视台 体育 频道 ) is a Chinese television station . It is the largest sports broadcaster in China and part of the state-controlled China Central Television broadcasting group.

On January 1, 1995, CCTV-5 started broadcasting and is now broadcasting at full capacity. The focus is on broadcasting national and international sporting events. For example, CCTV-5 has the rights to broadcast top European football leagues ( Bundesliga , Serie A , Primera División, etc.). The Olympic Games and US professional league events will also be broadcast.

Since 2009 CCTV has been showing two German Bundesliga games per game day, and since 2009 there has been an extra show for the Bundesliga. Since the 2015/16 season, CCTV 5 has shown the English Premier League in China again, with CCTV showing one game every match day. In 2003 CCTV last had the rights to the English League. CCTV also shows the Spanish BBVA in China, the Sports Minister of China has even been to the BBVA in Spain.
