CD34 is a sialomucin and is produced by hematopoietic progenitor cells and endothelial cells of various tissues . In the bone marrow, it binds hematopoietic stem cells to the extracellular matrix or to stromal cells . It binds selectins and is glycosylated and phosphorylated .
