history
In 1999 and 2000, CD Unidad Malabo celebrated the greatest successes in its club history by winning the national cup. In the 2000/01 season they did not take part in the African Cup Winners' Cup despite athletic qualifications , in the following season the club failed in the preliminary round against the Gabonese representative AO Evizo (1: 5, 0: 1).
