history

The station began broadcasting in 1953 under the name CKLC-FM and was then operated by St. Lawrence Broadcasting. A sister station was launched at the same time. The station was taken over by CHUM Limited in 1998, after which the station format was changed several times; from adult-contemporary to hot-adult contemporary format. In June 2007, the CTV Globemedia channels were sold to Bell Media .
