FoodDrinkEurope
FoodDrinkEurope is the European umbrella organization for the food industry and its branches in the European Union , based in Brussels .
history
The association was founded in 1982 as Confédération des Industries Agro-Alimentaires de l'UE , or CIAA for short , and renamed FoodDrinkEurope in June 2011 .
Members
The members of FoodDrinkEurope are made up of 24 national umbrella organizations, 2 observers (non-EU members), 27 European industry associations and 22 large companies in the food industry, including the beverage industry. For Germany, the German Food Association is a member, together with the Federal Association of the German Food Industry ; for Austria, the Association of the Food and Beverage Industry (food industry) of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce .
