CJ ENM (Entertainment and Merchandising) is a South Korean media group and a subsidiary of the CJ Group . The company was formed in 2018 from the merger of CJ E&M (Entertainment and Media) and CJ O Shopping. The company owns several television stations in South Korea, the largest film studio in South Korea and a music label.

history

The company's divisions go back to 1994. After Lee Byung-chull's death , the Cheil Jedang food division was to be separated from the Samsung conglomerate. Cheil Jedang was already under the leadership of its own management, but the process of detachment lasted until 1997. The new management has already invested in new areas. Including home shopping, film production and cinemas. In the course of time, new subsidiaries emerged that were merged and restructured.
