CL J1001 + 0220 or CL J1001 for short is a galaxy cluster in the constellation Sextant with a redshift of . The cluster was discovered in 2016 with the help of the Chandra Telescope , the Atacama Large Millimeter Array and the VISTA . The galaxy cluster consists of 17 members, 13 of which form the core of CL J10001, which is approximately 80,000 pc in diameter . The core of the cluster has an infrared luminosity of 10 13.2 the luminosity of the sun and this results in a star formation rate of 3400 solar masses per year. The gas required for star formation will be exhausted in around 200 million years.
