CNBLUE ( 씨엔 블루 ) is a South Korean boy band that was founded in 2009 by the FNC Entertainment label in Seoul.

history

Before the group debuted in South Korea in early 2010, CNBLUE were already active in Japan . They released two EPs and made a name for themselves through street concerts. At that time, Jonghyun was the lead vocalist and leader of the group. In South Korea, Yonghwa, who made his breakthrough through his role in the drama "You Are Beautiful", was made a leader. After their first Japanese mini-album, Now Or Never, bassist Kwon Kangjin surprisingly left the band and was replaced by Jungshin. The public found out about it in October 2009 through an entry on drummer Minhyuk's blog.

With the mini-album Now Or Never CNBLUE appeared as the opening act at FT Island concerts. On November 25, 2009, their second mini-album Voice was released in Japan. They made their debut in South Korea on January 14th, 2010. A week earlier, the FNC Entertainment label began to release the first teasers. Inside were the series to look after all the band members and it was explained what the band's name CNBLUE stands: CN is an abbreviation for "Code Name" while the letter of Blue for each one of the members are: B ( burning , burning ) for Jonghyun , L ( lovely ; sweet ) for Minhyuk, U ( untouchable ; inviolable ) for Jungshin and e ( emotional ) for Yonghwa.

I'm A Loner is the name of the song from the first South Korean mini-album Bluetory, with which the band was featured in music shows. Her follow-up single Love followed on May 19 with the accompanying music video.

In September they made their comeback in Japan with the single I Don't Know Why.

The musicians from CNBLUE are signed to the same label as FT Island.
