The Chamber Choir Consono (also written CONSONO ) from Cologne is a German choir. The choir was founded from a vocal ensemble under the direction of Harald Jers and today, as a chamber choir, consists of around 35 young singers.

For several years the choir has been organizing concerts with rarely performed music from different eras and countries. A special trademark and focus of the ensemble is the development of interesting and largely unknown a cappella literature by contemporary composers and their stylistically authentic performance. Voice training and work on an epoch-specific sound are essential rehearsals.

Consono also makes an appearance through radio recordings and successful participation in national and international choir competitions: most recently through first prize at the German Choir Competition in Kiel 2006, winning level I ("internationally outstanding") at the International Chamber Choir Competition Marktoberdorf 2007 and the Carl Orff Special Prize for the best world premiere of a choral work, as well as first prizes at the International Belgian Choir Competition 2007 in Maasmechelen.
