The CR series SS3B ( Chinese  韶山 3B , Pinyin Shaoshan 3B ) are AC electric locomotives of the Chinese state railways with the wheel arrangement Co'Co '+ Co'Co', which are intended for freight train traffic. The output of the SS3B is 4800 kW. The SS3B is a heavy, twelve-axle double electric locomotive designed and built by the CSR plant in Zhuzhou . Furthermore, the SS3 was manufactured by the locomotive factories in Taiyuan , Datong and Ziyang . The SS3B, presented in 2003, is based on the CR series SS3 (SS3 series 4000) from the Zhuzhou plant. The locomotive can pull a 10,000 ton freight train at 54 km / h with a maximum gradient of 4 ‰.
