Cachaça Sapucaia (better Cachaça Sapucaia Velha ) is a brand of Cachaça that is produced in Pindamonhangaba , Brazil .
etymology
The name Sapucaia comes from the rainforest tree Sapucaia .
history
In 1933, Cicero Prado founded the Sapucaia distillery in the city of Pindamonhangaba ( São Paulo ) specifically for export. This makes Sapucaia one of the oldest companies in the region.

- Cachaça Sapucaia was voted one of the best cachaças in Brazil in 2007 and 2009 in the Cachaça ranking of the Brazilian edition of Playboy magazine .
