Cadra Ash was a German gothic rock band from the Ruhr area.

history

Founded in 1994 by Tom Dornebusch and Thomas Wiezorrek, initially with the singer Tatjana Echeverri Fernandez, their first 4-track demo tape of the same name was created in 1995. Already in this first phase the band played their first gigs and the title Sed De Ti achieved its first notable successes. He was also featured on a sampler for The Gothic Grimoire magazine .

Tatjana Fernandez left the band at the end of 1996, while Tom Dornebusch temporarily worked as a guest musician for the gothic rock band The House of Usher . Shortly afterwards, singer Rabea Lange joined and completed the line-up. With this line-up, which remained until the end, Cadra Ash recorded their EP "Secrets", which was released in 1998 on the Alice In ... label as part of the split CD "Emanation - The Sounds of New Hope Part 3".

Cadra Ash was represented at numerous festivals in various European countries from 1997 to 2005, completed various club gigs and played in the opening act of well-known bands such as Faith and the Muse . During this time they published various titles as contributions to a sampler, such as B. Inner Strife on the compilation "Hex Files III" or Joy on the "Gothic World" sampler. From 2003 Wido Wendt played e-drum at all gigs and became a permanent member of the band.

The band produced various CDs in different editions, partly in-house and most recently as a pre-listening to the planned album “Everything's Gone By”, which has not yet been published. After 2005, things got quiet around Cadra Ash. Although the band's own website still exists, it has not been maintained since 2005 and there has been no sign of life since then.
