In the story Togail Bruidne Da Derga ("The Destruction of the Hall Da Dergas") Cailb is a harbinger of death. When the High King Conaire Mór is sitting by the fire in Da Derga's Hall, she appears and offers him a prophecy in return for a seat next to him. However, only after the threat of geis he lets them in. Nevertheless, he is soon killed by his enemy foster brothers.
