Ernmas

Ernmas [ 'ernvas ] ("Iron Death") is the name of a legendary figure from the Celtic mythology of Ireland .

In Lebor Gabala Eirenn , Ernmas is the daughter or granddaughter of Bresal and through Delbaeth is the mother of the three sisters Eriu , Banba and Fohla , of the sons Fiacha and Brian , and with their second partner Aed the mother of Anu or Morrigan , Badb and Nemain .

The name is identical to the Irish word ernbas (death by [ armed ] force), composed of íarn ("iron") and bás ("death").
