Calandraca

Calandraca is a dish from the Trieste cuisine. It was invented by seafarers who cooked leftovers from stored salted meat on board .

The Spanish version of calandraca is prepared with rusks . In today's Spanish , calandraca also colloquially describes a boring conversation.
