Caleb Fundanga

Caleb Fundanga is the director of the Central Bank of Zambia .

Caleb Fundanga studied at the universities in Lusaka , Manchester and Konstanz . He completed his studies in economics with a doctorate.

Caleb Fundanga worked as senior advisor to the President of the African Development Bank in Abidjan , the capital of the Ivory Coast , then as Director of the AEB for Southern Africa and finally as Permanent Secretary in the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Finance in Zambia, while also doing economics at the University of Zambia taught.

Caleb Fundanga was appointed director of the Central Bank of Zambia on April 19, 2002. He replaced Jacob Mwanza, who had reached the age limit at 65. His appointment to the post was expected, but not at such an early stage.

In 2002 he was appointed to the advisory board of the African Economic Research Consortium in Nairobi .
