Caledonian College of Engineering

The Caledonian College of Engineering is a private college in Oman .

This college, located in Muscat / South Al Hail, was founded in 1996/97. In 2005 the college had 1,129 students.

Academic connection

All private higher education institutions in Oman must have an academic connection to a renowned international university or college. The Caledonian College of Engineering has an academic connection with the Scottish Glasgow Caledonian University .

courses

Four-year Bachelor programs (BSc.Honors) are offered in the following subjects:

  • Electronic engineering
  • Computer aided mechanical engineering
  • Telecommunication engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Process Operations & Maintenance
  • Electrical power engineering

There are also "Built Environment Programs" in:

  • Environmental Civil Engineering
  • Building surveying
  • Quantity surveying
  • Construction engineering and
  • Civil Engineering (Construction Industry)

The following four-year bachelor's degree programs leading to the “BEng” degree (the 1st and 2nd academic year are completed in Oman, the 3rd and 4th academic year in Scotland) are offered:

  • Electronic engineering
  • Manufacturing Systems Engineering
  • Mechanical Electronic Systems Engineering and
  • Electrical power engineering.

There is also a two-year diploma course in "Engineering Design".

tuition fee

The tuition fees depend on the academic year and range between RO 2,700 and RO 3,500.
