In Germany, the first broadcast was on March 25, 1995 on RTL , and 31 episodes were broadcast. RTL 2 broadcast 65 episodes from September 1998.

Matt and Jenny Garrison and their friends Tiffani and Tony form the rock group California Dreams . They rehearse almost every day in the Garrison family's converted garage on California Beach. As a manager, they have Matt's best friend Sly. He organizes gigs from time to time. The Garrisons support the group. Dennis, the youngest brother of the Garrison, tells them about the escapades that happened to the group. In episode 17, Jenny goes to Rome. The new singer is Sam Woo.
