Calista Hendrickson

Calista Hendrickson (born before 1981) is an American costume designer . She gained particular fame for dressing the dolls for the Muppet Show for many years and also designing the costumes for the first Muppets films. Hendrickson won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1989 for her costumes for the television series Encyclopedia and was nominated for the award for her costumes for the Muppet Show and for the Jim Henson Christmas production Emmet Otter's jug band Christmas .

Hendrickson was influential in designing the costumes for Miss Piggy in the first few years and thus decisively influencing their style. Typical Miss Piggy accessories such as feather boas and wide-brimmed hats come from Hendrickson.

About the style, she said that she always dressed Miss Piggy expressively and excessively. She was always the center of attention. She would not always have dressed them in a tasteful manner, but always in such a way that the effort and effort would have been recognizable.

The films where Hendrickson was involved, were the Muppet Movie ( The Muppet Movie ) (1979), The Great Muppet Caper ( The Great Muppet Caper ) (1981) and The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984).

Outside of her work for the Muppets, Hendrickson was involved in a few other films: Nobody Comes Out Of Here Alive (1991), the television film Jacob Have I Loved (1987–1988) and the television series Encyclopedia. (1987-1988).
