Calnú is a town in northern Uruguay .

geography

It is located in the north-western part of the Artigas department in its 7th sector . The closest larger settlements are Bella Unión in the north and Tomás Gomensoro in the southeast. The place is on the banks of the Uruguay River upstream from Mones Quintela .

Infrastructure

The place had 12 apartments or houses in the 2011 census, of which only four were inhabited, while the rest were empty.
