Mones Quintela is a town in northern Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the western part of the Artigas Department in its 7th sector on the banks of the Río Uruguay . The Arroyo Itacumbú flows north of the village . A few kilometers upstream are Calnú and Bella Unión . In the southeast are Cainsa and Tomás Gomensoro .
