Hugo Souza , full name Hugo Fernando Souza Días , (born January 20, 1985 in Mones Quintela ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.82-meter-tall defensive player Souza was part of the Montevideo Wanderers team at the beginning of his career from 2003 to the end of 2006 and played a total of 36 games (no goal) in the Primera División for them from the 2004 season to the 2006/07 season . He then worked for Club Atlético Rentistas until the end of May 2008 , where he played ten first division games in the 2007 Clausura (no goal). In the first division seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10 he was in the ranks of Cerro Largo FC , for whom he played 46 times in the top Uruguayan division and scored one goal. In August 2010 he signed Liverpool Montevideo . After 13 first division appearances (no goal) and two game participations (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2011 he was loaned to the Rampla Juniors after the 2010/11 season. With the Montevideans he was ten times (no goal) in the Primera División in the 2011/12 season. In July 2012 Souza joined Deportivo La Guaira . With the Venezuelans, he participated in eleven personally goalless first division matches. At the beginning of 2013 he moved to UTC Cajamarca . For the Peruvians , he scored four times in 29 appearances in the Primera División by the end of the year . From January 2014 Souza continued his career at Deportivo Municipal . At the Lima club , he played 22 games in the Segunda Division and scored two goals. In January 2015 he took up an engagement with Real Garcilaso , in which he completed 26 first division games (no goal) and eleven matches (one goal) of the Copa Inca . In the first days of January 2016, Oriente Petrolero from Bolivia signed him. There he was used in 30 clashes between the LFPB and a game of the Copa Libertadores in 2016 . In the league he achieved a personal goal. Since mid-March 2017 he has been a member of the squad of the Peruvian second division club Cultural Santa Rosa . So far (as of July 26, 2017) he has completed twelve league games for the Peruvians, in which he scored two goals.
