The Charles Nunatakker ( Norwegian Charlesrabbane ) are an isolated group of Nunatakkers in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . They rise 13 km south of the western end of the Neumayer steep face on the Kirwanveggen .
Norwegian cartographers mapped the group using geodetic surveys and aerial photographs of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of Operation Pingvin (1958–1959). It is named after the British glaciologist Charles Winthrop Molesworth Swithinbank (1926–2014), who participated in the first-mentioned research trip .
