The Camden Hills State Park is a State Park in Knox County in the US state of Maine . The 23 square kilometer park is located in the Camden Hills , a hilly, wooded area north of the city of Camden . In the park is the 260 meter high Mount Battie , on the summit of which a driveway leads and from where you have a panoramic view of Camden, Penobscot Bay and on a clear day up to Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park . The highest point in the park is Mount Megunticook , which is 422 meters high .

There is a fee to visit the park. The park has a campsite with over 100 spaces and 50 kilometers of hiking trails run through the park. The park was created in the 1930s by the National Park Service and the Civilian Conservation Corps as the Camden Hills Recreation Development Area . In 1947 it was renamed Camden Hills State Park.
