Camden Palace is a London club location in the district of Camden , which is known today under the name " KOKO ". The building, originally named "Camden Theater", was built in 1900 and initially served as a theater. It is one of the most famous and traditional theaters and cultural sites in England.

Earlier names of the theater, which was also used as a cinema and since 1992 as a club and rave location, were: Camden Theater, Camden Hippodrome Theater, Camden Hippodrome Picture Theater, The Music Machine and Camden Palace. Musicians like Coldplay , Madonna and Prince have often enjoyed performing there, and from 1945 to 1972 it was used by the BBC as a “radio theater”.

The location is well known in the London house and techno scene, and many well-known clubs held their events there from the 1990s to 2004. Well-known and popular clubs in this location were Peach, Frantic, Moondance, Tonic, Heat and Raindance.

In 2004 the location was closed and completely renovated, as the interior was badly damaged by the many rave events. The external structure was also renewed.

After the opening, the operator "KOKO" attaches importance to the fact that only a few techno events take place there. He also decided to equip the emergency exits, which lead to a labyrinth of tunnels inside the masonry, with an alarm system, as these vaults and corridors had developed into a legally free space during the rave times of the location, which the security staff could not use was to be controlled.

AC / DC legend Bon Scott spent his last night at this club, after which he died in a car off 67 Overhill Road.

On Monday, January 6th, 2020 there was a fire in the roof structure during renovation work.
