The Camino de Madrid (also Ruta Jacobea de Madrid ) is a pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela , which connects the Spanish capital Madrid with the Camino Francés . It has a length of 354 kilometers and leads from Madrid via Colmenar Viejo , Manzanares el Real , Segovia , Coca , Valladolid and Medina de Rioseco to Sahagún . From Sahagun there are still 345 kilometers on the Camino Francés to Santiago de Compostela, so that the entire pilgrimage route from Madrid is 699 kilometers long.

The route is based on the old connecting road between the royal cities of Madrid and León . He was revived in 1992.
