Angela Gorr (born July 8, 1957 in Braunlage ) is a German politician of the CDU party .

Life and work

In 1976 she graduated from the Sophienschule in Hanover . She then studied in Hanover and Liverpool . She finished her studies with the completion of the state examination for teaching at high schools . Her subjects are English and German . She also obtained a Magister Artium (MA) degree in English literature and German linguistics . She then worked as a freelance consultant in adult education. From 1993 to 2001 she was deputy director of the district adult education center in Halberstadt . Her activity as director of the municipal adult education center in Magdeburg , which she exercised from 2001 to 2006, is currently suspended.

She is Protestant and single.

Politics / party

In 2000 she joined the CDU and has also been chairwoman of the CDU local association in Wernigerode since 2000 . From 2001 to 2003 she was an assessor in the CDU district executive in Wernigerode and has been CDU district chairman since 2003. Further political activities are her function as a knowledgeable resident in the Wernigerode city council (since 1999), her membership in the Wernigerode city council (since 2004) and her membership of the Wernigerode district council (also since 2004).

She has been a member of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt since the beginning of the 5th electoral term . There she is a member of the Committee for Education, Science and Culture. She also works on the Petitions Committee.
