Campina (potato)

Campina is a waxy table potato. It is very productive and forms smooth-skinned tubers.

Campina is resistant to the Y virus , Rhizoctonia , iron stain , silver scab and Y-NTN .

Its flowers are white and they develop rapidly when young. Campina is resistant to the nematode species Ro1 and Ro4. It forms oval tubers with very flat eyes. The tubers are characterized by their uniform size and good taste, the starch content is low at around 12%, and cooking darkening is rare. The variety can also be used for organic cultivation.

Of the varieties tested annually, it achieved the best market yields in the Saxony-Anhalt state variety test. Campina was approved in Germany in 2009. It showed deficiencies in taste in the Saxony state variety test.
