The Canadian Review of American Studies is a Canadian journal for American studies that has been published since 1970 .

It is published by the Canadian Association for American Studies with support from Carleton University in Ottawa and is published three times a year by the University of Toronto Press. According to its own information, the Canadian Review of American Studies is the leading American journal outside the United States and specializes in the interdisciplinary analysis of the culture of the United States, with a special focus on cultural exchanges with Canada. Articles in the magazine are written in both English and French . Responsible editor since October 1999 is Priscilla L. Walton , professor at Carleton University and author. The journal is also co-funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of the Federal Government of Canada.
