Candice Renoir starts her service as a team leader at the homicide squad in Sète . Her new team is openly hostile to her, but the forensic technician Pascale is not quite as hateful as the two men on the team. A woman's corpse is discovered on the beach. The victim is Sophie Vauquiers, a married woman and a simple mother. While Capitaine Dumas, the previous acting team leader, sees the murder in connection with the work of the dead for an armaments company, Renoir focuses on the victim's personal environment. In their investigations, Renoir also has to familiarize himself with technical advances and the new police procedural rules. The family's new neighbor, Hervé, throws Candice into emotional chaos.

An accountant is found murdered in his garden. The investigation reveals that he had initiated a signature campaign against a nearby psychiatric clinic, which gave its patients unhindered access to the residential area of the murdered man. The focus of the investigation is a patient with Huntington's disease at the clinic who spoke to the murdered man's son in a playground. While her team is convinced of the patient's guilt, Renoir investigates in a different direction. The tensions within the colleagues escalate and Renoir's team has closed requests for their transfer. Finally, a bet between Capitaine Dumas and Renoir ensures that it is clarified who will lead the team in the future. The rivalries of the colleagues then indirectly show Renoir the right way to solve the murder case.

After being used against a sex offender, Renoir is in hospital. There she meets Arthur, who fell from the harbor wall into the water at the harbor festival. Although he claims that someone pushed him, Dumas doesn't believe him and assumes that it was an alcohol-related accident. However, Renoir discovers that two young people had died in the past few months after falling from the harbor wall and made contact with the mother of one of the victims. From her she gets the reference to Michael Bellon and determines that this and Arthur run a company that supplies alcohol to student parties. Meanwhile Arthur disappears without a trace after his release from the hospital.

The body of the attractive young Cecile is discovered in a garbage dump. She was strangled. The team's investigations reveal that the young woman earned money as a prostitute alongside her job as an accounting assistant in a company called "Chiara". Her last assignment was for the promotion ceremony for Romain Duteil, who had been promoted to head of department at the cleaning company Garcia Entretien. After the official ceremony, Duteil, CEO Garcia and his business partner Martel retired to a private party with Cecile. Duteil passed out from amphetamines and alcohol and later woke up in the hot tub next to the dead Cecile. A cleaning company employee moved the body aside. His testimony makes Duteil the prime suspect. But Renoir has doubts that Duteil should be the culprit. In solving the case, the investigator is in danger.
5 | 5 | Who digs a pit for others | Tel est pris qui croyait prendre | May 3, 2013 | Feb. 18, 2016 | Nicolas Picard-Dreyfuss | Solen Roy-Pagenault, Olivier Laneurie |
In a hotel, Stéphane Combas, suffering from leukemia and sitting in a wheelchair, is pushed off the parapet on the first floor. Although he survived the fall, he is seriously injured in the hospital and cannot be questioned. The porter Omar claims to have seen a young Asian run away from the crime scene. Participants in an illegal poker game hosted by Omar in a hotel room confirm this. However, the prescribed painkillers are not found in Combas' hotel room. The doctor who is said to have been treated by Combas has neither issued prescriptions nor carried out treatments. The victim's wife can explain these inconsistencies. Renoir also discovers by chance that the hotel is rented to couples by the hour. The decisive clues are provided by the questioning of the couple who stayed in the room next to the victim's, as well as the evaluation of the victim's weblog. During the ongoing investigation, Brigadier Medjaoui becomes the father of a daughter.

Maud Bucaille is found dead, apparently poisoned. Since there is no evidence of violence, Capitaine Dumas believes in suicide. After talking to the victim's husband, however, Renoir doubts it. The couple had only returned from Singapore a year ago and Maud in particular had problems reintegrating. Renoir recognizes himself in this because it has fared similarly to her. In addition, her husband Laurent is back in the country and currently lives with her. It turns out that Maud Bucaille regularly attended meetings of the “Anonymous Addicts” under the direction of the therapist Agathe Levandon because she had overcome shopping addiction. She also did a part-time job as a masseuse in a wellness hotel and took care of the seriously ill Alain Couturier, much to the displeasure of his daughter. There is no shortage of motives and possible perpetrators, but the theory of suicide is not yet off the table.

17-year-old Nathan is found murdered. He was a very good student and grew up with his father after his mother's death. The investigators find a package of marijuana on him and the dealer Mario's fingerprint at the scene. After his last release from prison, he had turned to evangelicalism , founded a church and preached sexual abstinence before marriage, among other things. Because of this, Juliette ended her relationship with Nathan when she and her mother became members of Mario's ward. Then a viral video emerges showing Nathan and Juliette having sex. It also emerges that Nathan's father Etienne had secretly grown cannabis to supplement the family's income. Nathan had stolen the marijuana from him in order to run away with the proceeds. During the investigation, Renoir's colleague Chrystelle acts strangely, as if she were keeping a private secret. Candice's neighbor Hervé ends their relationship with her because Candice couldn't make up her mind to really confess to him.

The murdered interior decorator Sabine Missoni is found at a boatyard. She was the union representative of the workforce and negotiated with shipyard owner Philippe Ferola about a social plan to rescue the almost bankrupt company. It turns out that the police had received an anonymous report from one of the computers in the shipyard's office that Ferola was illegally employing Ukrainian guest workers. The investigators find out that it was not Sabine who wrote this email. In addition, the police missed one of the three Ukrainians who had a relationship with the murdered woman during the investigation. Meanwhile, Capitaine Dumas is assigned to a special unit that is supposed to clear up a series of robberies. Finally, it turns out that the shipyard owner Ferola is not only involved with the murder, but also with the robberies and a showdown takes place in a shop. Meanwhile, Chrystelle was gone for a few days and Renoir finally discovered her secret. Changes are also pending in Renoir's private life. Hervé, who had withdrawn from Candice, is moving away from Sète. Interestingly enough, Renoir's husband, Laurent, rents his house. |

The police received an email in which the death of a mining company was announced to the minute. Renoir and Dumas rush to the victim, but cannot prevent his death. The cause of death was a malfunction of the pacemaker, which leads the investigators to his treating doctor. There they uncover another, similar, also exactly announced death. The pacemakers are supplied exclusively to the hospital by a company, so the investigators are looking for the perpetrator in this context. However, when it turns out that the pacemaker can be programmed by remote control, investigations in the doctor's private environment ultimately lead to the solution. Meanwhile, Capitaine Dumas meets his mother, who works as a lawyer for the suspected doctor.

Pablo Alves was pushed off a bridge. At first, there are traces that indicate that he was a sprayer , which turns out to be wrong. Rather, the victim ran a company that specialized in the removal of graffiti and was an informant for the police department who pursued sprayer. The team succeeds in arresting a long-sought sprayer, who leads the investigators on the trail of a former sprayer trio. The victim was one of them, the second is now successfully running a gallery, the third has completely turned his back on the scene and works as a driver in social services. The investigation shows, however, that there were still contacts between the former friends, and Renoir finds in this the motive for the crime and the perpetrator.

There she meets the doctor's husband who explains to her that his wife has flown to Paris. This turns out to be false and eventually the vet's body is found in the family's garden. The victim's husband is then arrested as an urgent suspect, but commits suicide while in custody. Meanwhile, the investigators find a connection between the veterinary practice and the new friend of their colleague Chrystelle. They uncover a black market in Chihuahuas and finally find the solution to the case.
14th | 6th | Appearances are deceptive | L'habit ne fait pas le moine | April 19, 2014 | 17th March 2016 | Stéphane Malhuret | Elsa Marpeau |
The half-naked body of Sister Madeleine, who lived in the nearby monastery, is found in the forest. She was mistreated, but it is not a sex offense. During the investigation in the monastery, the nuns are very reserved towards the investigators, but the behavior of the young sister Jeanne arouses Renoir's curiosity. While she goes to the monastery for a few days, the ranger of the forest in which the dead woman was found becomes the focus of the investigation. He is responsible for a rape 10 years ago in which Sister Madeleine was his accomplice. While Madeleine was entering the monastery, the perpetrator moved abroad and committed similar crimes in Mexico and Africa. It turns out that Sister Jeanne was also one of the rapist's victims. The investigators are now faced with the question of whether the ranger murdered his former accomplice and with what intentions Jeanne followed Sister Madeleine into the monastery.

A strangled woman is found on the beach who lived in poor conditions in a nearby holiday resort. During the search of their bungalow, the investigators find 8,000 euros and get into a dispute over jurisdiction with a special unit headed by Commandant David Canovas. He pursues the fugitive Marc Carlier, who is among other things a suspect in a casino robbery and is said to have gone into hiding in the cottage settlement. Canovas suspects that the victim's cash came from this robbery. However, Renoir investigates in the direction of organ trafficking and considers the penniless musician Gilles, who also lives in the settlement, to be the mastermind. Finally, Carlier can be arrested and it turns out that the cash did not come from the casino robbery and that the perpetrator and motive cannot be found in the organ trade. A ring on the victim's finger finally leads to the solution of the case.

The assistant to the management of the perfume manufacturer Lacombe was poisoned. Investigators find out that the victim was in possession of documents relating to a perfume that should not be on the market for a few months. The suspicion arises that she wanted to sell the design of a bottle for the new perfume to plagiarists. The focus of the investigation is the company's security chief, who installed a surveillance camera in the victim's home. Renoir, on the other hand, investigates the private sector of the Lacombe family. Géraldine Lacombe lost her husband in a tragic shipwreck and has been running the company ever since with the help of her father-in-law and son Adam. With the help of Renoir, he can laboriously remember the details of the night of the accident and thus provides the key to solving the case.

The team is called to the coast to a burned-out motorboat with a burned body. Based on the information provided by the owner of the boat, the investigators believe that the boat owner Daniel Langlois is the victim. Langlois had only recently returned from Mali as a professional soldier. His behavior is puzzling because he had observed his wife and daughter with a surveillance camera and he regularly called up pages with escort girls from his laptop . The investigators find out that the wife Sandrine earned money with so-called "dildo parties", while the daughter Manon led a double life. During the autopsy of the burned victim, after a comparison with medical documents, it turns out that it is not Daniel Langlois. With the help of the special unit under Commandant Canovas, Langlois is captured. In an exchange of fire, Capitaine Dumas is critically injured.
18th | 10 | Whoever is silent agrees | Qui ne dit mot consent | May 3, 2014 | March 31, 2016 | Olivier Barma | Kilian Arthur, Ivan Piettre |
While Dumas is in a coma, the rest of the team is called to a murder at the theater. Amira Bedani, a young Algerian actress, was slain. The circle of suspects is large, because at the time of the crime, the entire drama troupe was in the locked theater. Initially, the director Simon Ferrer is targeted, but can quickly prove his innocence. The next suspect is the actor Hugue Desrosières, because he rented the victim a shabby apartment at an exorbitant price. But he can also prove his innocence and claims to have sent the victim a copy of his passport when the victim did not have any documents with him. Due to a temporal discrepancy between this information and the arrival of Amira Bedani, the investigators find out that she had a twin sister named Leila. When it turns out that the director's family are Algerian- French, Commandant Canovas, who is himself an Algerian-French, unwittingly provides the decisive clue during a chat with Renoir. |
