Cannonball Ride is an Austrian modern metal - band from Ungenach , Upper Austria . The band's style is a mix of metalcore , death metal and rock .
history
Founded Cannonball Ride in 2009. In the same year, the first EP was Breaking Walls And Building Bridges published. For this purpose, some appearances were made in Austria and Germany.
In 2011 the second EP Enchant The Flame And Let It Breathe was released. In 2011 and 2012, Cannonball Ride played numerous other gigs in Germany and Europe.
The first album, Emerge & See , released in 2014 , entered the Austrian charts. In 2015 the band played at Austrian festivals such as Two Days a Week in Wiesen or Seerock in Graz.
The band was nominated in the Hard & Heavy category for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award 2016 . In the same year, Cannonball Ride played twice on the last day of the festival at Nova Rock in Nickelsdorf.
style
Cannonball Ride plays melodic Modern Metal, known as "Mosh'N'Roll" in the early days. In terms of text, mainly socially and socially critical topics (decidedly non-political) are dealt with, which, however, always allow their own room for interpretation. Singer and main lyricist Siegfried Kröpfel uses the vocal style shouting , sometimes screaming, and occasionally sings clearly in parts.
