Canon Powershot S
The Canon Powershot S series consists of two model lines. The cameras S10 and S20 were entry-level compact cameras . It was only with the S30 that a different market segment for ambitious photographers (“prosumers”) was envisaged. In terms of price and technology, the cameras have since been somewhere between the more design-oriented models of the IXUS series and the G series models, which are more aimed at the discerning amateur photographer . There are usually many technical features in common with the G-series models (e.g. the built-in sensor), while the S-series usually has fewer manual control options, but a significantly smaller and lighter, but also less robust housing .
