Caojing

Caojing ( Chinese  漕 泾 镇 , Pinyin Cáojīng Zhèn ) is a large municipality in the Jinshan district of the government- direct city ​​of Shanghai in the People's Republic of China . It is located about 70 kilometers southwest of the inner city area directly on the China Sea . The municipality of Caojing has an area of ​​45.11 km² and a population of 35,000 (as of 2005). It is divided into a community of residents (社区) and twelve villages (村).

The large community is particularly well known in the economy for its 29.4 square kilometer “Shanghai Chemical Industry Park”. Since it was founded in 1996, many international chemical groups have been building large production plants there, including BASF and Bayer . The “Bayer Integrated Site Shanghai (BISS)” built there, with an investment volume of 1.8 billion US dollars, represents Bayer's largest investment outside of Germany. Since August 2006, polymer materials have been produced here for the Asia-Pacific Economic Area ( APEC ).

Administrative structure

Caojing is made up of three communities and eleven villages. These are:
