The Anamudi

The Cardamom Hills ( English Cardamom Hills ) are a mountain range in southern India . They lie on the border of the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu and are part of the Western Ghats , which run along the edge of the Dekkan Plateau. The name comes from the cardamom plantations in the cooler mountains, where pepper and coffee are also grown.

The highest point in the Cardamom Mountains is the Anamudi with a height of 2,695 m, which is also the highest point in southern India.
