Carl Christoph Lüntzel

Dr. Carl Christoph Lüntzel (* 1779; † 1854) was the second mayor of the entire city of Hildesheim after the unification of the old town and new town in 1803.

Lüntzel came from the Hildesheim patrician family Lüntzel . Before he became mayor in 1843, he was the town councilor . As mayor until 1848 he campaigned for the city to be connected to the railway network .

His son Alfred Lüntzel became a lawyer at the Imperial Court .
