Carl Gustav Leonhardt

Carl Gustav Leonhardt (born February 20, 1845 in Hainichen ; † September 8, 1903 ) was a Saxon textile manufacturer.

Life

He was the son of the textile manufacturer Carl Gustav Leonhardt in Hainichen and his wife Johanne Auguste Leonhardt, b. Müller. In 1879, he and his older brother took over their parents' businesses in Hainichen and Böhrigen . After 1884 he moved to Böhrigen. In the years 1890/1891 he had the 27 m high Striegistal observation tower built in the immediate vicinity of Böhrigen at his own expense , which he bequeathed to the municipality of Böhrigen. In addition to the congregation, in his will he also gave the poor, the school and the church considerable sums of money.
