Carla Candiani
Carla Candiani (born February 9, 1916 in Legnano ; † July 2, 2005 ) was an Italian actress .
Life
Candiani was an active athlete and studied foreign languages when she came to Rome in 1937, where soon (after a supporting role in Mario Bonnard's Il feroce Saladino ) she attracted attention as an English lady who escaped the misdeeds of a gang of useless people in L'albergo degli assenti excited. After several forgotten films, the short but important role of Marchesa Attavanti followed in a film adaptation of the opera La Tosca from 1941, as well as appearances in two Emilio Salgari films. After a few more insignificant roles, which were not followed by any more important ones in 1948 (after a five-year break), she completely lost interest in her film career and devoted herself to a glamorous life, which she was able to lead until her death as the wife of Count Neni da Zara .
In 1994 the countess was the victim of a robbery.
