Carlo Ausino

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carlo Ausino (* 1938 in Messina ) is an Italian filmmaker.

Life

Carlo Ausino moved to Turin with his family as a child in 1940. There he worked as a projectionist and from 1963 worked for Rolfilm as a scriptwriter and camera assistant. From the end of the 1960s onwards, practically on his own, he kept making films that were rarely distributed outside his home region and that were cheaply produced. With the actors and the staff, too, he fell back on a solid base of people; They include actor Emanuele Cannarsa and camera assistant Giuseppe Lino . Exceptions were Torino violenta and Senza scrupoli 2 , which reached a larger audience on video. In 1987 he shot a short feature film for the RAI, where he earned his living as a cameraman for magazine broadcasts, commercials and various programs since the late 1960s; He worked twice as a cameraman for Alex Carmeno's films. Until well into the new millennium, he also directed short films that were shown at the Torino Film Festival .
